I am really thrilled to announce Kristen B. as our volunteer of the month for February. Kristen works in mercy's safety office, and the staff had wonderful things to say about her. She is said to have pleasant attitude, is always on time, and stays on task. All of these make an excellent volunteer. Kristen is a wonderful young lady, and we are really glad to have her as one of our youth volunteers.

Name: Kristen B.
Silly Questions:
Favorite Candy: Reese's Peanut butter cups
Favorite Movie or Book: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (movies)
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?: I'd pick the super power of flight because I think it would be the most fun and useful.
If you could be any animal what would you be and why?: Some kind of bird, like an eagle, so I can soar freely over everything.
Serious Questions:
Why did you decide to volunteer?: I heard about it in Mr. Duffy's class and I thought that it was a good opportunity. People really appreciate volunteers. Plus, it looks really good on a resume.
What is your favorite part of being a volunteer at Mercy?: My favorite part is being a part of something bigger. I have never known that much about the hospitals, so this is a fun way to get to know it. Also, people are always very grateful for your help.
Why do you think other people should volunteer?: It is a good way to spend some extra time. Instead of sitting at home, a person can be of some use at the hospital.
