Mercy Medical Center Volunteers

Elisha has been volunteering with Mercy for a couple months now. He has been an great help to the staff, always willing to pitch in, and go the extra distance. He makes a commitment to his job and follows through, always on time, always here when he says he will be. He is very efficient with his work, and he makes the effort to sit with patients that need company. We really appreciate that! So congratulations Elisha for being youth volunteer of the month for November!

Flying, I've always had dreams of flying

There is a blue Arabic bird, I don't know the name, but it flies up really high and then curls and tumbles to the ground.

Why did you decided to volunteer?:

My Mom previously volunteered here.

What is your favorite part of being a volunteer at Mercy?:

I like helping out others.

For the love of caring for others.

I would be able to fly. So I could see alll my friends who live far away.

Why did you decide to volunteer?

I wanted to help others and I really enjoy elderly people and I want to be a physical therapist so volunteering at the hospital is a good start!

What is your favorite part of being a volunteer at Mercy?

My favorite part about volunteering at the hospital is talking to the patients. Some are funny, some are sweet, and some are grumpy. Happy or sad, i love them all!

Why do you think other people should volunteer?

Others should volunteer because it is good experience and its so much fun working with others and getting to know them. Its an experience you will never forget!

Why did you decide to volunteer?

Because I want to be a neonatal nurse and this will help me achieve that goal

What is your favorite part of being a volunteer at Mercy?

Free food. JUST KIDDING. Seeing how many other youth volunteers want to go in the same direction as you. (going into the medical field.) and its just fun

Why do you think other people should volunteer?

It's a great experience and helps you grow as a person and it helps others.
